God of the Storm He gives the snow, and casts forth the ice; he sends forth his word; he makes the wind to blow and the waters to flow.                                                    Psalm 147:15-18      The LORD is God of thunder and lightning and storm and flood, yet also, God of love and grace.  Though the weather has been unpleasant these past several days, God is the Lord worthy to be praised, for “he delights in those who hope in his steadfast love” (verse 11).  God is “mighty and terrible,” and merciful and kind.     The Lenten season is upon us and the sermons these next weeks will examine the seven sayings of Jesus from the cross.  Come worship with us and see and know this Great God who is revealed by the Savior on the cross.
